Aquafix, Inc. is a biological sciences company, based in Madison, Wisconsin that services municipal and industrial wastewater plants. We provide specific solutions to biological wastewater plants that allow them to improve their processes. We would be looking for the right candidate to grow revenue with existing customers while also looking for new opportunities.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years sales experience
  • A degree in chemistry, biology or a related field is a plus
  • Enjoys selling to and servicing customers
  • Likes solving customer problems at a profit
  • A strong desire to succeed

Job Location
The right person will live in Central Illinois or the Chicago-land area, and will travel Illinois solving problems and advancing wastewater treatment.

Desired Results

  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals
  • Meet 80% annual customer retention goals (ABC prioritization)
  • Work within sales expense guidelines
  • Meet sales goals on top of products to be sold
  • Call on existing customers to improve their revenue growth
  • Make 4 preplanned sales calls per day and one to two prospecting calls
  • Start every morning with seven phone calls of customers you can get orders from
  • Travel 4 days per week. Expect to be overnight 1- 2 nights per week
  • Sales calls are updated in our CRM software
  • Every member of our team is required to bring us new ideas every month and we will bring those new ideas through our challenge process

Production Worker

COMPENSATION:
$14 Hourly

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Aquafix, Inc. is hiring a Production Worker to join our growing company on Madison’s eastside. If you like working in a fun, upbeat, hardworking, energetic environment, you’ll love this opportunity.

The current position is for a Production Worker that will be responsible for blending and packaging liquid and powdered products, running errands, making deliveries, and other duties as assigned. The hours are 7:30 am to 4 pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform a variety of tasks including repetitive and non-repetitive production
  • Blend and package liquid and powdered products
  • Package and palletize orders
  • Perform basic cleaning in production area and warehouse
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications
  • Set up and operate production equipment in accordance standard operating procedures
  • Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality
  • Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements
  • Start up and shut down processing equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • MUST be dependable and ORGANIZED
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple instructions, safety requirements, and short correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight and volume measurement.
  • Ability to read a scale in grams, ounces, and pounds. Must be able to convert from one unit to another.
  • Must have a valid Class D driver’s license. Candidate must know how to, and be comfortable, driving a manual vehicle and a commercial van as errands will be made in both vehicles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Walking, sitting, or standing for long periods of time
  • Use hands to handle objects, tools or controls
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Push, pull, and lift 50 lbs or more
  • Perform repetitive motions for long periods of time
